460 IPPF personnel, dependents in Palawan register for National ID

Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm

Four hundred and sixty personnel of the Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (IPPF) in Palawan and their dependents have registered for the National Identification (ID) system.

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) said their registration within IPPF “has lessened their burden in terms of travel expenses in going out of the reservation and possible exposure to COVID-19.”

It said the two-day registration was held last Sept. 2 and 3 after the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) granted the request of IPPF Acting Chief Corrections Supt. Joel R. Calvelo for the registration within the prison reservation.

BuCor said that Calvelo had expressed IPPF’s appreciation to PSA’s assistance as he underscored the importance of the National ID as the government’s unified and centralized form of identification.
